SMC 60th Anniversary

The diligent group of SMC anniversary planners have been busy making plans for the club’s 60th anniversary in 2018. After several meetings we can reveal that the year is beginning to shape up nicely and you can start thinking about keeping gaps in your diary, some details still have to be firmed up but so far we have:

• 2nd February 2018 an evening at the Old Eds with take away food, cake and a talk from one of the club’s founder members. This is the date of the very first committee meeting and so in some respects is the club’s actual birthday.
• Summer meet to the magnificent Ecrins in France, more details to follow so don’t book anything else for the summer just yet.
• Anniversary meal, nothing too formal but a chance for members old and new to get together eat, drink, natter and dance to a Celidh band.
• Tee shirts and beanies with a SMC 60th logo.

There will be lots of stuff going on around the usual social and activity meets programme so keep an eye on your emails or this page and maybe even Facebook!
