To complement our programme of weekend meets, we organise a range of social get-togethers throughout the year.
Weekly Climbing – Tuesday Night
We meet at Creation Climbing Wall, 582 Moseley Road Moseley, B12 9AA from 7.00pm onwards every Tuesday. SMC members receive discounted entry for indoor climbing plus a free hot drink! Prospective members are welcome, climbing experience is not needed but please tell us in advance if you wish to join us. We then go to either the Fighting Cocks or The Prince of Wales in Moseley for a drink and banter from 10-10:45pm.
Monthly Committee Meeting
Committee Meetings may be held online or at Creation Climbing Centre, 582 Moseley Rd, Balsall Heath, Birmingham B12 9AA
Members and prospective members are welcome to come along to find out what’s going on and make their contribution.

Annual General meeting
Our AGM is generally held in September / October.

Social Events 2025
Saturday 1st January – Day Walk, Admiral Rodney’s Pillar, Powys
We kick the year of with a relaxing walk in the Welsh countryside just beyond Shrewsbury. This striking hill-top monument gives impressive views over Offas Dyke and the river Severn. Hair-of-the-Dog option available at the Admiral Rodney pub afterwards!
Friday 24th January – Burns Night Supper – West Warwicks Sports Club, Olton
Friday 28th November – Annual Dinner, Greswolde Arms, Knowle
